## ポケカ×最先端AI！株式会社ポケモン、HEROZ、松尾研究所が仕掛けるKaggleコンペ「ポケカABC」

## 不完全情報ゲームへの挑戦： なぜ今、ポケモンカードなのか

これまでAIの進化を証明する試金石となってきたのは、チェスや将棋、囲碁といった、お互いの情報がすべて盤上に公開されている「完全情報ゲーム」でした。しかし、ポケモンカードゲームは、山札の順序や相手の手札など、重要なデータが隠された「不完全情報ゲーム」の領域に属します。

さらに、数千種類を超えるカードの組み合わせから生まれる奥深いシナジーに加え、カードのドローやコイントスといった確率的なランダム要素が複雑に絡み合います。熟練した人間のプレイヤーが脳内で無数の可能性を計算しながらプレイするように、不確実な環境下でAIがリアルタイムに最適解を導き出せるかどうかが、今回の極めてエキサイティングな課題となっています。

### 二段階で競うKaggleコンテストの仕組みと巨額の賞金

本大会は、世界中のデータサイエンティストや機械学習エンジニアが集まる、Google傘下のデータ分析・AI開発プラットフォーム「Kaggle」を舞台に展開されます。第一ラウンドと第二ラウンドの二段階で構成されています。第一ラウンドは「シミュレーション部門」と「ストラテジー部門」の2つのアプローチで評価されます。

まずシミュレーション部門では、参加者が開発したAIエージェントをKaggle上に提出し、独自のガウス分布を用いたレーティングシステムによって24時間自動対戦が行われます。この部門での順位はリーダーボード上でリアルタイムに変動します。

次にストラテジー部門では、シミュレーションでの対戦成績だけでなく、デッキ構築の独創性やAI開発におけるアルゴリズムの工夫をまとめた技術レポートが審査対象となります。このストラテジー部門で選出された上位8チームには、それぞれ3万ドルという巨額の賞金が授与され、2026年末以降に開催される第二ラウンドへの出場権が与えられます。第二ラウンドのトーナメント戦はYouTubeでの配信も予定されており、優勝チームには5万ドル、2位には3万ドル、さらに出場者全員に3000ドル分のGoogle Cloudクーポンが提供されるなど、開発支援体制も非常に強力です。

## ガチ勢必見の開発環境：独自シミュレーター「cabt Engine」

対戦の舞台となるのは、東京大学松尾研究所がKaggle環境向けに開発した「cabt Engine」という独自のポケモンカードバトルシミュレーターです。各ターン、AIエージェントはゲームログや盤面のステート、そしてその時点で選択可能なリーガルムーブのリストを「Observation」として受け取り、適切な行動のインデックスを返す仕様となっています。

ルールは公式のポケモンカードゲームルールをベースに本大会用に独自調整されており、使用できるカードは主催者が提供する指定リストのみとなります。特に注目すべきは、各プレイヤーの持ち時間が最大10分と制限されている点です。制限時間を使い切るとその時点で敗北となるため、ディープラーニングや強化学習のモデルを組み込む際は、思考の正確さだけでなく、圧倒的な高速処理とリアルタイムの適応能力が求められます。

今回の「ポケカABC」は、単なる技術コンペティションにとどまらず、AIと人間の知恵のぶつかり合いをエンターテインメントとして昇華させる記念碑的な大会になるでしょう。Kaggleアカウントがあれば個人でも最大5名のチームでも無料で参加可能です。シミュレーション部門の提出期限は2026年8月16日、ストラテジー部門のレポート提出期限は2026年9月14日となっています。世界中の精鋭たちが集うこのバトルフィールドで、あなたのアルゴリズムの限界を試してみてはいかがでしょうか。
